| I bought The Sims a couple of months ago. I thought it would be an entertaining, mind numbing, non-violent, time-wasting bit of fun. So I started playing. My character was going about her business, making dinner... and then she caught on fire and died. An ex-boyfriend of mine died like that (he wasn't cooking, but it was close enough). I was so shocked that I just stared at the screen for a few minutes. I then put the cd back into the case and never took it out again. I'm sure that if a character had shot my character, I would have just shrugged my shoulders and started again.
